For this design, I have used a square galvanized container, with floral foam for the mechanics. For the height, I have used a group of five red Cornus alba (Dogwood) stems. Two more of these stems have been bent to form circles on the left hand side of the design, creating enclosed space. A further two stems have been bent and wired together to form circles horizontally at the base of the design, to add rhythm and interest. The foliage used at the base is Mahonia japonica and Hedera colchica "Sulphur Heart". At the back of the design, I've used Buxus sempervirens (Box), and a stem of Chamelaucium uncinatum (Waxflower). The flowers used are three pink Gerberas for the focal flowers, with a group of pink Roses on the left. Some more Waxflower has been grouped low in the design, with a group of Hedera helix (Ivy) berries on the right. |
