For this design I have used spring flowers. The base is a green ceramic glazed dish. I have wound some Larix (Larch) stems, complete with cones, to form a circular construction, with some of the stems arching across the construction, and fixed them into position with some green wire. Under this contruction, I've used some floral foam, around 3cm thick, to hold the flowers in position. The flowers have been inserted through the Larch stems and fixed into the floral foam. Flowers used are Narcissus (Daffodils), yellow Tulips (streaked with red), blue Muscari armeniacum, and some Skimmia japonica rubens in bud, complete with its foliage. The mechanics are covered with some Reindeer Moss (Cladonia rangifera). |
