DESIGN 243

This is a design made to hang on a wall. I've used a bundle of bleached Salix matsudana 'Tortuosa' twigs, which I've tied together with paper-covered wire to form a triangle, making a loop to hang it from at the back. The flowers and foliage are all artificial, and include Roses (for the focal flowers), Astrantia maxima, and Eucalyptus. To fix the flowers and foliage in place, I have used a glue gun, but I could have also fixed a small piece of dri-foam to the twigs, or I could have wired each flower and leaf on, or used a ball of Oasis-Fix (a sticky green putty-like substance) fixed to the twigs by pressing it into position, and arranging all the plant material into it. An olive-green organza bow has been added just under the focal flower, with some tails hanging down. I've also glued two smaller bows to the other two corners of the triangle, for colour balance.
