FLORAL DESIGNS

For this arrangement, I have used two identical lime-green containers, one inverted on top of the other, and joined together with Oasisfix, so that it looks like one container. I wanted a strong colour scheme, so have chosen lime-green and red. I've used red Carnations and red Roses, with lime-green Tanacetum foliage, and Hedera colchica 'Sulphur Heart', which has lime-green variegation in the centre of the dark green leaves. I have also used some green painted Salix tortuosa for the height, and some Acorus gramineus 'Ogon', a lime-green and yellow variegated grass-like plant of the Lily family. I have also used some skeletonized Bo leaves (Ficus religiosa), which give a lovely texture (see closeup detail below). To continue the lime-green colour, I have used two Limes at the base of the design, one whole and one cut in half to show the texture inside (see closeup picture below). The arrangement stands on a red base, to balance the colour by bringing the red down to the bottom of the arrangement.
